Ravina Balchandani

MD,FACC,FSCAI, FASNC

Dr. Ravina Balchandani graduated from Gandhi Medical School in 1987 and completed her medical residency, cardiology residency, and interventional cardiology residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. Later, she practiced at Stony Brook University Medical Center, after which she re-located to the sunnier Hilton Head Island here in South Carolina.

While Dr. Balchandani does find great enjoyment in the challenges of interventional practice, her primarily philosophy is that prevention is more important than the cure. This is the focus she used when building her own practice, Heart Associate of Hilton Head, PC.

Dr. Balchandani's main passion, however, is women and heart disease. She enjoys informing and empowering other women in the community about the dangers of heart disease and has done many public presentations about this important topic. She is a big supporter of AHA's Go Red for Women Campaign. She believes that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, and we need to come together as a community to keep everyone informed of the risk as cardiovascular disease remains the #1 cause of death in women.

Heart Associate was built, as stated, with a solid foundation. The practice offers Telemedicine, genetically engineered labs, optimization of medication for patients, and always provides various options and alternatives for any procedure or medication.

Currently, Dr. Balchandani has two offices, one on Hilton Head Island and another one in Bluffton.

She also has consultative privileges in Hilton Head Hospital and Coastal Carolina Hospital.
